Research showed a staggering increase in the number of young adults feeling anxious or depressed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The project began mere weeks before the start of a new school year, giving the teens and the adults one more thing to figure out. In order to draw attention to the problem of youth during the pandemic, association ART began a #Quaran TEEN project, to launch a dialogue between teens and society during the pandemic. We are starting video production of texts written by Laurie Allen. This event will take place on social media like Facebook, Instagram, and on the ART YouTube channel to raise awareness to the teen’s problems.

The year 2020 has made its own corrections in our life and in the theater. In quarantine, many different ideas could not work in their usual conditions and stage plays for large theaters and stages were impossible. The new conditions gave birth to new forms of work. That is how the Quaranteen project was born. This is a theatrical project, filmed and edited by our friend, Alexey Zonov. Our distant friend from Israel, Ilya Borovitsky also took part in the creation of this project.

In #Quaranteen teenagers talk about the world they live in, share their thoughts about the pandemic and the situation people ended up to be due to Covid-19. The whole project is divided into several short episodes, narrated in two languages - Russian and English. Each of which can be watched separately or together as one movie. The production uses the songs of the Beatles, performed by actors of the Teremok Theater.

Project #Quaranteen was awarded "1st place of the category SHORT FILM 2022" by International festival CONSTELLATION
